After getting good response from my post on war on the pads I'm going to write on yet another war between apple and android. But this time round it's no longer the pads but the smartphones.
The smartphones that i'm going to compare in this post are Iphone 4G and Samsung Galaxy S the closest phone in the market to match the iphone. But this time round the comparison will be in video.
Personally i felt that the android counterpart have been matching the iphone apples iphone quite well in terms in hardware but in terms of applications the applstore beats androidstore hands down.

TP iPhone Apps now in the Apple Store
Hey everyone just sharing to you an article about iphone from TP credits to temasekpoly.sg
We’re immensely proud to announce that -
TP now has iPhone Apps!
iPhone owners, go to the App Store and check out the TP Diplomas and TP Mobile Apps. A quick rundown:
The TP Mobile App is meant for our own students and staff. It has:
An announcement feed – get exam result dates, important notifications and more
A temasekpoly.sg feed – read this blog on the go (yeaaaaaaaaaah!)
TP canteens description – learn what the various canteens in TP has to offer (especially for those of you who don’t venture out of your own school’s canteen).
Hotlines – important numbers such as the various schools’ general office numbers
Creators of both Apps will also be updating the Apps with more features in time to come. And speaking of creators…
The team responsible for the Apps comes from the Diploma in Mobile & Network Services, Temasek Polytechnic School of Informatics & IT. I had a chance to talk to them a bit about their experience developing the apps, and learnt something fascinating -
The students that worked on the Apps were all volunteers. To be precise, this project was actually outside of their normal curriculum, and they had returned during the holidays to work on them. To say the least, I was rather stunned.
This entire project started when, during a meeting the lecturers from MNS had, someone brought up the possibility of looking into developing phone Apps. The idea grew fast and strong, and eventually students who were interested were given the opportunity to join the lecturers and work on the Apps.
“This,” I thought to myself, “was how our lecturers give their students a chance of a lifetime… and mould their lives for years to come.”
All you needed to do was see the pride and enthusiasm in the eyes of the students to know that they knew they were really glad to have been part of the team. They joked, laughed and smiled a thousand watts as they spoke to me and now, finally, their pride and joy was ready for use.
So what lies ahead? Many of them are already working on their own Apps (some of which are already on the App store). Some were team efforts, others were individual – but it was clear that they were bitten by the App development bug. They’ll also be developing these Apps for other platforms – namely Android, Windows Phone 7 and Symbian. So non-iPhone smartphone users, just wait a tad more!

- want to see what diplomas are offered by our schools
- want to know more about our diploma programmes on the go
- want to find courses within a certain range of cut-off points (COP) – note that the COP used
- are this year’s, and therefore should just stand as a gauge rather than what students need to
- hit for next year’s JAE.
We believe that last point will be especially useful for O level students.

The Next iphone: iPhone 5
Despite some bloopers with the iPhone 4 in 2010 like the antenna problem and white iPhone, apple had a hit with the iPhone 4. However in this year 2011 the coming of the new iPhone 5 comes the question what features will it come with it?
Every year Apple release their updated version of the iPhone and this have stir up a storm in the world of mobile phones. The release date and features of the next release is widely discuss in the international tech blog and websites.
Because of the design problem of the antenna on the iPhone 4 and no release of the white iphone 4 rumors have said that the release date of the new iPhone 5 will be brought forward to ease the market.
